Dasmesh Public School, Faridkot, the mother institution of all the institutions running under the august name of ‘Dasmesh‘ was established in the year 1973. Dasmesh Public School, Bargari, which was established in the year 1992 proved to be the second, after ‘Dasmesh’ Kotkapura, very successful educational venture of high profile mother institution at Faridkot. Within a period of two decades ‘Dasmesh’ Bargari, got so much flooded with students that need was felt to stop admissions. Under an enormous pressure mounted by aspiring parents, the management chose to establish another ‘Dasmesh’ institution within a distance of bare 1.5 KMs to accommodate an influx of students that perceived ‘Dasmesh’ as their sole career destination.
When it ultimately came to construct another school, the visionary Dasmesh Management opted for the type of institution which may at least satisfy the global aspirations of 21st century children, hence the epithet ‘global’ supported by the school name.
This school, with a tangible difference, has been conceived and constructed as an all-weather school which provides inmates with immunity from all inclement weather-conditions ensuring safe and unimpeded conduct of all the necessary educational operations like Morning Assemblies, Co-scholastic Activities etc. The 4-storey building with 1,25,000 sq. feet constructed infrastructure has everything under one roof. It is a compact unit unfolding exotic opportunities for academics and sports enthusiasts with enormous scope for edutainment. Special efforts have been made that the students are insulated from outside human interference, from fire mis-haps, from earth-quake calamities and from weather vagaries. Even some of the much cherished out-door games like Basket-Ball, Skating, have been internalized along with Badminton and many other indoor games. Three levels of swimming facilities such as lazy-river, splash-pool and multi-level swimming pool have been provided to ensure safety of preparatory, primary and secondary swimmers. 500 feet long desired-radiant ramp is a special feature provided for smooth up-down movement of students at all layers of building.
All the five institutions under the ‘Dasmesh’ honorific along with six more institutions dispensing medical education and services are satellites of the supreme council, Sangat Sahib Bhai Pheru Sikh Educational Society, Faridkot, nobly founded and ably managed by S. Karnail Singh Doad, its worthy President and his team of dedicated visionaries.
